1. You are a representative of the guild itself. Behave accordingly on how you would want our guild remembered.
Everything you say or do while wearing our tag, and especially the way you treat others, reflects on us: the guild as a whole. Don't dishonor our name. Don't be a jerk, a drama queen or a loot whore. Don't beg for gold, spam trade chat with inane drivel or needlessly inflammatory messages on the realm forum. In other words: be someone with whom we're proud to share our guild tag! We won't hesitate to de-guild someone who's not.
2. Treat your fellow guild members with respect.
Guild chat -- including voice chat -- should be a place where everyone feels welcome and included. While the occasional off-color joke or sexual innuendo is not unheard of or even entirely out of place, we do ask that you be respectful of your fellow guildmembers. If someone asks you to change the subject and discuss something less colorful or potentially less controversial or inflammatory, please do so. On a related note, keep in mind that we are all on the same team. A success for one of us should be viewed and celebrated as a success for all of us. We are not in competition with one another other for loot, raid spots or first place on the damage or healing meters. While a little bit of friendly competition is fine and keeps things interesting, there is no room for mean-spiritedness in our raids or guild.
3. Ask for help, but be prepared to be self-sufficient.
As a gulid, our collective focus is raiding -- albeit on a more casual timetable. We aren't a power-leveling service, even for guilded alts or those admitted below level cap under our friends and family policy. That said, we have some truly generous members who are often willing to share their expertise, offer quest and instance help, or even lend the services of their gathering or crafting professions to guildies in need. Feel free to ask for help -- but if you aren't able to obtain something in guild, don't hesitate to look elsewhere. We value self-sufficiency as well as a spirit of cooperation in our members.
